SERP Preview: Edit Your Title and Description

Edit a title, description and page URL, then compare desktop and mobile illustrations. Start from a successful Meta extractor row or enter a draft directly.

Edit locally. This illustration is not a Google result. Google can rewrite or omit titles, descriptions and URLs; display varies with the query, device and result features.

0 characters. About 50–60 characters is a drafting cue. Neither is a Google limit or a display guarantee.

0 characters. About 140–160 characters is a drafting cue. Neither is a Google limit or a display guarantee.

Your description appears here. Write a useful summary of the task the page helps someone complete.

Line clamping is an editorial approximation, not a pixel or ranking score. No font-width heuristic can guarantee the actual result.

From reading metadata to editing a draft

  1. Read selected public URLs using the Meta tags extractor. It fetches returned static HTML, not a rendered Google snippet.
  2. Choose “Edit in SERP preview” on a successful row. The current tab passes the title, first description and final URL through session storage.
  3. Review the imported values, compare device illustrations and edit for the page’s actual task.
  4. Copy the labelled draft into your CMS. This tool does not update a page or submit anything to Google.

The transfer copy is removed after loading. Manual edits remain in component memory until navigation or reload; no title or description is added to the URL, sent to a server or included in tool analytics.

Write a task-specific preview

Editorial teaching example: a hypothetical weekly product-feedback digest for a small SaaS team. Queries, routes and decisions below are practice material, not a customer study or measured keyword demand. No measured search volume, difficulty, revenue or ranking outcome is assigned to these candidates.

Illustrative title: “Weekly Product Feedback Digest | Example”. Illustrative description: “Turn customer requests into a weekly review. Group feedback, assign owners and keep links to the original conversations.” These statements should only appear on a real product page if it delivers those outputs.

Lead with the page’s distinct task, then make the description useful. A template page should promise a usable template; a comparison should explain what is compared. Use the page map to avoid assigning every page the same promise.

What a preview cannot guarantee

Character counts are drafting cues. Actual display depends on available width, type, query and result features. Google can generate a different title link or snippet from page content; this illustration cannot reproduce those decisions or promise a click-through rate.

See Google’s title-link guidance and snippet guidance. No preview score is a ranking factor, and no draft is published by this tool.
